Theatre Royal, Winchester
The Theatre Royal in Winchester finally opened to the public in October 2001.
The lighting to the auditorium is interfaced with the stage lighting dimmers, which are controlled from a new control room located behind the circle seating.
Wiring has been installed for stage sound, microphones, intercoms and video as well as the power and control of the stage spotlights. The specialist stage lighting and sound systems were provided by Stage Electrics.
Electrical distribution has been provided to a disabled persons passenger lift as well as the theatre lighting dimmer racks.
Lighting and small power was provided to the 'front of house' bars, foyers and ticket desk, as well as to the 'rear of house' dressing rooms, offices and rehearsal areas.
Lighting to the public areas including floor mounted uplighters, low-level 'footlights' and illumination of work by artists.
A Seimens analogue-addressable fire alarm system with automatic smoke detection was installed throughout the building.
